Who We Are: Agent Atena
I grew up thinking of myself as an artist, and still do. Now my identity as a parent has almost eclipsed life before babychild, and I’m working hard to incorporate artlife and mamalife into one another. I’m mostly a writer these days, for whom blogging has become a major creative outlet since my energy was first usurped by grad school and pregnancy. I’m sorting it all out.
Both parenting and creative expression are grossly underappreciated and underestimated in our culture. They are among the principle driving forces that move our species forward. And they are excellent (possibly the most important) vehicles for love, radical action and revolution. My goal is to make the best of the gift of dual agency, and use it to improve the world.
