Becoming a parent means taking on another existence – building a new identity that is not totally distinct from the original, but is definitely something different. These identities sometimes inhabit the same life. Sometimes they are distant. Sometimes they are at odds.

We had creative lives before we became parents. Before we made little people we made art, crafts, objects, content, plans, designs, documents, etc. Now, creativity has been redefined, and we rise to meet the challenge of making work in more challenging circumstances with higher stakes. The potential to make better, more critical work is fantastic.

This site is a collection of conversations about this process – the ways that we search out the path to creativity, the ways that we find it and lose it everyday. We write, we sew, we act for social change, we raise our children and we document.
